  • Originally from eastern North Carolina, I am a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with adults and adolescents. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including university counseling centers and the VAMC as a psychotherapist, supervisor, testing coordinator, and training director.

    The Official “About”:

    Dr. Williams earned her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Purdue University’s Counseling and Psychological Services in West Lafayette, IN. Areas of focus included eating disorders, binge eating, and treating those with body image concerns.

    Prior to opening Silver Maple Psychology in 2019, Dr. Williams was the training director for university counseling centers at the University of Indianapolis and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), where she supervised graduate students and oversaw their training and clinical practice programs. She provided individual therapy as well as group therapy in mindfulness-based stress reduction, DBT skills, and eating disorders. Dr. Williams also worked at Purdue University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for many years, serving as staff psychologist, interim training director, and Coordinator of Assessment. She conducted individual and group psychotherapy as well as comprehensive testing services for AD/HD, learning disorders, and autism.

    Dr. Williams has received specialized training in Interpersonal Process Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindful Self-Compassion (Dr. Kristin Neff), complex trauma, Brainspotting, and treatment for narcissistic abuse and adult children of emotionally immature parents.

    • 50-minute psychotherapy session: $250.00

    Psychotherapy by a psychologist is considered an eligible medical expense, therefore HSA/FSA cards may be used.

    I am considered an out-of-network provider and will file your claims for potential reimbursement. I am a contracted provider for Lyra.

  • No. Please contact me if you'd like testing referrals. If you are interested in medication management of symptoms, please contact your physician or make an appointment with a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.

  • My office is on the second floor of the CMC Properties Building in Carmel, IN, just off Hwy 31 and Main Street. Suite 207 includes a waiting area as well as my therapy office. There is an elevator, and my office is wheelchair accessible.

    As a PSYPACT provider, I offer Telehealth to anyone located in an approved PSYPACT state.
