TARGETED, DEPTH-ORIENTED THERAPY

Therapy for Professionals Living Alcohol Free

You did it! You’re no longer addicted to the one drug you have to justify not using. Brilliant!

Now what?

Life without alcohol is uncharted territory. Getting sober was actually the easy part.  You’ve learned how to say, “No, thank you!” to alcohol at parties and networking events. You’ve found activities to fill all the newfound time and space. Like many who live alcohol free, however, you’ve probably been surprised by how frequently you turned to alcohol to cope with stress, social situations, or insomnia, just to name a few.

Let’s face it–life will continue to be challenging.  It would be lovely to have support as you handle life’s curveballs in healthier ways.

Reclaim your authentic self and embrace a future filled with possibility and genuine connection

Achieving sobriety is more than putting down the glass (read: bottle) of wine. Programs like AA are great, but they don’t cover everything. There are many skill sets we missed while drinking, like facing problems head on, gracefully navigating conflict, or turning off our racing minds at 11:00pm.  Gratitude journals, exercise... you keep trying, but you feel disappointed and stuck. Alcohol provided an “off” switch to life’s challenges, but now that it’s no longer available, how can you find peace?

Letting go of your former self and mourning the ways in which alcohol once provided comfort is a difficult process, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

Living beyond alcohol addiction is not just achieving sobriety; it's about cultivating self-acceptance, forming better relationships, coping effectively with tough situations and emotions, and letting go of things that no longer serve you. Therapy is a safe space where you will find empathy and understanding to help you thrive in your sober life, guiding you toward empowerment and fulfillment.

THE PROCESS OF THERAPY

How We’ll Work Together

Schedule a Consultation

To ensure goodness of fit, schedule a free 15-minute video or phone consultation. During this call, we’ll discuss what you’d like to explore in therapy and how I can support you in this journey, including the results you’re hoping to see and logistics.

Initial Appointment

During our first session, we’ll spend 60-70 minutes talking about what has led you to therapy. This session often feels like a thorough but informal interview. I’ll listen deeply to discern your needs and preferences.

Ongoing Sessions

For the first month of therapy, weekly sessions are the norm. We’ll collaborate on goals and plans to achieve results based on what matters most to you. We’ll identify potential barriers and implement strategies to conquer them. Most importantly, I’ll hold space for you to rest, heal, and grow.
